*The bromance is reportedly over between Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon.
Radar Online is reporting that Cuomo, who got his own show at NewsNation after he was fired from CNN in 2021, wants to block Lemon from doing the same at NewsNation after CNN fired him suddenly last month. The gossip quotes an unnamed source who says Cuomo holds a grudge against Lemon for allegedly brushing him off after CNN canned him for trying to seek back-channel help for his brother, then-NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo, against sexual harassment allegations.
“Chris has never forgiven Don for not having the decency to pick up the phone to see how he was after CNN fired him,” the source allegedly told the outlet. “He wasn’t necessarily happy when Don got the ax — but he didn’t shed any tears over it.”
Radar Online also quotes a “network insider” who said Cuomo and Lemon were as “close as brothers” but are now “no longer speaking.”
While CNN offered no public explanation for booting Lemon, the dismissal happened a little over two months after his on-air apology for suggesting Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley was “past her prime.”
Radar Online quotes sources who claim Cuomo can’t forget how Lemon didn’t help him find a new gig after his 2021 exit, and now intends to return the slight, saying of Cuomo: “He’s not about to put his career in jeopardy to help somebody as untrustworthy and volatile as Don! Trouble follows Don wherever he goes. Chris thinks he’s toxic.”
