Chemical Peel Victim Awarded $1 Million In Damages

*Neyo White went viral after a trip to a chemical peel from Georgia spa turned into a nightmare. 

White took to social media in March 2022 to explain how he ended up with burns after a chemical peel. He ultimately sought legal action against Diamond Facez Skin Care Bar in ATL and won. According to TMZ, White was awarded $1 million in damages in June.

We reported previously via TMZ that White claims his ordeal began when he went into the spa in Buckhead for a chemical peel in February 2022. White visited the spa previously for other procedures to help with discoloration and evenness in his skin, but he wanted to try something a little more substantial, so he went in for a chemical peel.

He said the chemical peel went awry from the start when he felt burning during the process, but the woman performing the procedure assured him that everything was fine.

Days later, he ended up with burns and a discolored face — watch the clip below.

White said he tried to handle the situation directly with the Spa, but they apparently ignored his messages and denied his request for a refund.

He reportedly sued for his legal bills, medical fees, and Uber payments for his numerous hospital trips. 

Here’s a breakdown of his recent payout, per TMZ, White is getting $750K in compensatory damages from the company and the spa’s CEO, and another $250K in punitive damages.
