*Season seven of “The Real Housewives of Potomac” delivered high drama. Candiace Dillard Bassett was involved in some and watched other parts from the sideline with fans in the audience.
EURweb spoke exclusively with the singer about her favorite moments of the season and her thoughts on the drama with co-stars Robyn and Karen.
For Dillard, season seven highlights include chronicling the release of her album, “Deep Space Delux,” and the evolution of her music. The drama between Karen and Robyn has been brewing for years, so she’s not surprised to see it spilling over.
Dillard said, “If you’re familiar with the show, and you go back to earlier seasons, and then knowing them both personally, I can speak to how they’ve talked about one another and how they feel about one another. But I think it’s coming to a head now on camera. And you know, there’s a lot of pressure there. When you’ve got cameras, and people are pushing you to have an answer or have a reason for things. I think honest communication is getting lost in the drama of it being played out on the show.

Regarding the drama between Karen and Charrisse, Dillard thinks we aren’t getting the whole story, making some of the beef hard to understand.
Dillard explained, “With Karen and Charrisse, there is animosity there. That is historical. It kind of goes back to before my time. And it makes it hard to help them when I don’t really know what’s what with these women. But it does suck to see these seasoned women who are supposed to be leading the younger girls and guiding us and helping us figure out our lives, to see them arguing over foolishness. And then the same goes for Robin and Karen. I just think that they are just barking up a shade tree together. And it’s not fun to watch.
