*Beyoncé reveals in her documentary titled “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” how her daughter Blue Ivy reacted to the online criticism about her “lackluster moves” while on tour with her mother.

“She told me she was ready to perform, and I told her no,” the global superstar said in the film, according to The New York Times.

Blue Ivy, 11, made several appearances on the “Renaissance” tour during Queen Bey’s performances of “My Power” and “Black Parade.” After her debut in May during the Paris stop, social media criticized the child’s dancing skills.

“But it thrilled her mother that instead of quitting, she decided to put in the work and train even harder for future stops,” the Times wrote.

“I am truly amazed by the courage that this brave, talented, beautiful 11-year-old exhibited last night. There were almost 70,000 people in that audience,” Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, wrote of her granddaughter in a May 27 post on Instagram. “She danced with professional dancers, grown folks, she did complicated choreography and moves that they rehearsed for months. She rehearsed and learned this in a little over a week. She was so smooth with it.”

Kelly Rowland also gushed about Blue Ivy’s motivation to work hard in an August interview with E! News.

“I’m very proud,” she said. “She works very freaking hard, period. But how could she not, you know? She sees her mother in action and she sees her father (JAY-Z) in action and how they apply everything, hard work to everything that they do.”

We reported previously that Queen Bey is bringing her Renaissance World Tour to AMC Theatres in December. “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” will play in thousands of U.S., Canadian, and Mexican theaters beginning Dec. 1. Tickets are available via AMC and Fandango.

“When I am performing, I am nothing but free,” Beyoncé says in the film’s trailer. “The goal for this tour was to create a place where everyone is free and no one is judged. Start over, start fresh, create the new. That’s what the Renaissance is about.”
