50 Cent is Developing Tattoo Transformation Series ‘Redemption Ink’

*Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson is developing an unscripted tattoo transformation series titled “Redemption Ink” for Hulu. 

As Deadline reports, the series is inspired by Luis Gutierrez’s concept for his tattoo shop. Created by Matt Bazan, “Redemption Ink” follows ex-gang and hate group members as they get old gangland tattoos transformed into new designs that are not affiliated with hate and violence.

“While sitting in the chair, (participants) will share their emotional stories with the talented tattoo artists devoted to giving them hope,” a summary of the series reads. 

New of 50’s latest project follows reports that he is working on a sports drama about Nicole Lynn, the Black female power agent for Philadelphia Eagles player Jalen Hurts.

Hurts recently signed a $255 million, five-year contract extension with the Eagles, making him the highest-paid player annually in NFL history. Hurts played for the Alabama Crimson Tide football team in 2018, where he led them to an SEC championship game victory over Georgia. This season, he led the Eagles to Super Bowl LVII.

Lynn was 26 years old when she signed her first client, Yahoo reports. She is also the “first female agent to represent NFL agency PlayersRep, which was later acquired by Lil Wayne’s Young Money APAA Sports Agency, in 2015,” the outlet writes.

“Any time someone thinks of an agent, they’re gonna think of me,” Lynn said, according to NBC News. “The first person that’s gonna come to their mind is a Black woman. I’m the Jerry Maguire — that is who I am.”

50 Cent seems to agree as the rapper/TV producer is creating a sports agent drama inspired by Lynn’s life, The Daily Mail reports. According to Fif, STARZ turned down the chance to develop the project.

On Saturday, 50 Cent took to Instagram to announce, “Nicole Lynn is no joke i told STARZ, they didn’t listen. They paid for development then had a change of heart. Now you know i’m gonna sell this show in no time. I don’t miss.”
