*A Tennessee State University staffer was arrested after allegedly ramming her vehicle into the car of a Tigers player during a jealous rage over his girlfriend.

The incident reportedly occurred in the early morning hours of Dec. 3 when Devon Starling — a TSU junior running back — called police to report his “ex-‘fling'” Ariel Escobar was stalking him outside his apartment building, TMZ reports.

TMZ reports that Escobar is the Tigers’ director of football operations and on-campus recruiting. She was allegedly in her car outside Starling’s residence when she saw him arriving home with his girlfriend.

Starling claims he asked Escobar to leave but she refused and made a scene. That’s when he called the police and while waiting for them to arrive, Escobar allegedly rammed the back of his car twice.

She was ultimately arrested and charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of misdemeanor vandalism, per TMZ.

The outlet writes: “Starling told police he had a “fling” with the older woman. But Escobar told police she wanted him to admit to his girlfriend that they’d had sex the day before. It isn’t clear if Escobar still has a job.”

In a statement, SU officials said the school “is aware of an arrest of an employee, and takes the allegations associated with the incident seriously.”

The university added, “TSU is unable to comment on specific personnel matters or matters potentially implicating student privacy laws. We will have no further comment at this time.”
