*With season two of “The Game” recently premiering on Paramound+, the cast is dishing about what viewers can expect from their characters this time around.
Newcomers to the Paramount+ inception of the series are Analisa Velez who plays Raquel Navarro and Toby Sandeman who plays Garrett Evans, and viewers will see how their on-screen romance impacts their professional careers and those around them.
Garrett is a part of the Las Vegas Fighting Fury football team which is currently on strike, while Raquel’s singing career is taking off!
“It certainly impacts their relationship,” Sandeman tells EURweb exclusively. “I think the fact that the strike is going on, all of a sudden with his free time, maybe Garrett is getting attached in ways to Raquel that he wasn’t expecting. The fact that he doesn’t have another focus, is that too much, is that too intense? With her taking off now, how does she start to view Garret?”

As for Raquel’s thoughts about where her and Garrett’s relationship is heading, Velez says “she loves it.”
“Her dudes’ able to spend time with her and be in the studio with her,” Velez said. “She’s just excited. He’s actually like a healthy partner.”
Diving deeper into their on-screen relationship, Velez and Sandeman also noted what they love most about each other’s characters.
“Raquel has a real spontaneity about her,” Sandeman said. “You never know what she’s going to do or what’s going to happen. I think that provides so much excitement for the relationship in general. She also has a real drive. Anyone who is passionate about something, I mean that’s sexy. When someone’s passionate about something and really wants to get somewhere and is making strides to do so, that’s something really easy to fall in love with.”
“I really love the way Garrett loves,” Velez added. “He is so intense, it’s black or white. But it’s always just so much light, the way he gives love. It’s like “Romeo & Juliet.” It’s life or death. It’s so beautiful because every girl wants that. Every girl wants some guy pulling a truck up to the window and confessing his love. It’s sweet.”
