However, Drummond interjected to say: “That’s too expensive for me.” To which Oprah replied, “No, it’s not — it’s really not. It’s, like, a hundred and some or dollars.”

Drummond works as TMZ’s Washington bureau chief, according to LinkedIn. He explains in the video that he was hoping to purchase a less expensive gift for his mother who would appreciate something with sentimental value.
“Lower than $100,” said Winfrey. “Uhh. OK, then this is the perfect gift for your mom,” she continued. “You do a list of your top 10 reasons why you love her, and you make a beautiful card, and it’s your top 10.”
Drummond captioned the viral clip, “Oprah Just Slayed Mom Christmas Gift”.
As the New York Post reports, several commenters slammed Winfrey for being “financially out-of-touch.”
“The judgment when he said $100 was too expensive,” one person said.
“She said oh you poor? I got a better gift for you,” another critic added.
“She was SHOOK that $100 was too expensive. ‘Do they even make things that cost less than $100,’ ” one person said.
