Grandmaster Caz, Fab 5 Freddy and More Talk ‘Origins of Hip Hop’ on Red Carpet | WATCH

*The premiere of A&E’s “Origins of Hip Hop” premiered Memorial Day weekend with an episode about venerable Bronx emcee Fat Joe.

Produced by Brian Turner, Slane Hatch Phoenix Sky Maulella, and narrated by Nas, “Origins of Hip Hop” is a masterfully shot and earnest film experience that gives the viewer an intimate and detailed look into the circumstances that helped launch the careers of some of the most influential names in rap music and urban culture.

Aside from Fat Joe, the series will shine light on the cultural roots of Eve, Ice-T, Busta Rhymes, Ja Rule, Fat Joe, DJ Khaled, Soren Baker and Swizz Beats.

EURweb was in attendance at the New York City premiere at Times Center in Times Square. The red carpet was packed and bustling as such names as Ja Rule, Bobby Brown, Fab 5 Freddy, Dapper Dan, legendary Grandmaster Caz and many other celebrities and influencers.
