*President Trump has weighed in on the lynching of George Floyd by a suspected white supremacist on the Minneapolis police force.
The tragedy occurred on Memorial Day, after officers attempted to arrest the 46-year-old on suspicion of forgery (writing a bad check). A woman on the scene filmed the incident, showing Floyd handcuffed and on the ground with Officer Derek Chauvin kneeling on the back of his neck, and pleading: “Please, I can’t breathe.”
The officer ignores Floyd’s cry for help even after he appears to lose consciousness, keeping his knee on the victim’s neck for nearly five minutes.
“The officer stayed in position, with his body weight on Floyd’s neck, for four more minutes after Floyd stopped moving at all. At one point, the officer brandished pepper spray at bystanders who were pleading with police to stop,” wrote the ACLU on Twitter.”
Donald Trump called Colin Kaepernick a “sonofabitch” for kneeling to stop white, racist cops from murdering Black men like George Floyd. Donald Trump has put a target on all of our backs. Proudly. Vote this abominable, racist filth out in November.

Four police officers were fired Tuesday in connection with Floyd’s death and the FBI is conducting an investigation into the incident.
Trump tweeted Wednesday about the situation, saying … “At my request, the FBI and the Department of Justice are already well into an investigation as to the very sad and tragic death in Minnesota of George Floyd.”
He went on to write, “I have asked for this investigation to be expedited and greatly appreciate all of the work done by local law enforcement. My heart goes out to George’s family and friends. Justice will be served!”

You recall Trump previously called Black NFL players who took a knee to protest police brutality “sons of bitches” who should be “Fired.”
In related news, Trump will reportedly sign an executive order against social media companies on Thursday, and the announcement comes after Twitter flagged two of his tweets that touted disinformation, including one that falsely claimed mail-in ballots would lead to voter fraud, per CNN.
The president said he would ‘close down’ social media companies that are censoring conservative voices
It is not clear what regulations the former reality television star can apply to social media platforms through executive order. On Twitter Thursday morning, Trump stated, “This will be a Big Day for Social Media and FAIRNESS!”
