*Well, Snoop Dogg just did something a lot of folks said he’d never do. He straight-up apologized to Gayle King and he wants to take it a step further in private.
The Compton rapper notoriously lit into King in response to her interview with WNBA legend Lisa Leslie about Kobe Brutant’s 2003 sex assault case.
In his mea culpa, which you can see above, Snoop says the way he came at As we all know, dude went totally off on Gayle last week, criticizing her for the Leslie interview Leslie.
Now, Snoop Dogg is admitting he was wrong for lashing out at Gayle King, who, according to her bestie, Oprah Winfrey, is getting death threats for the Kobe question. Now, he’s saying he overreacted because he was rife with emotions and angry at her line of questioning.

Snoop says he was just trying to defend Kobe because the now late NBA legend can’t defend himself, but he regrets the way he expressed his feelings.
“A lot of people look up to me and they love me … I want to let them know that anytime you mess up, it’s okay to fix it, it’s okay to man up and say that you’re wrong.”
“I apologize. Hopefully we can sit down and talk privately. Have a good day,” he concluded.

As for why the change of heart … Snoop says his mom gave him some sage advice. He added … “2 wrongs don’t make it right.”
In his initial rant, Snoop called Gayle a “funky dog head b*tch” and asked her, “How dare you try to tarnish my motherf***in’ home boy’s reputation, punk motherf***er? Respect the family and back off, b*tch. Before we come get you.”
As we reported, Snoop did backtrack and said he didn’t mean anything as a threat … and now he’s saying sorry and hoping to sit down with Gayle to chat behind closed doors.
Now the ball’s in Gayle’s court.
