*Video of a Bay Area road rage incident between a white couple in a sedan and a Black man in silver Mercedes went viral Monday after it appeared – in this age of deadly COVID-19 – that the lady spat on him. But the brother involved said that wasn’t the case.
According to San Francisco’s ABC7, the video was taken from an apartment window by a Latina woman (who wanted to remain anonymous), at the corner of Bay and Stockton Streets late Sunday morning. The woman is seen yelling at the man at close range with no mask on. The man responds at one point “get out of my face, b***h!”
The woman, yells at him repeatedly to “Get in the car!” even appearing to many online viewers to spit in the man’s face. Some thought he spat back at her as well.
“She did not spit on me. It may look that way, trust me, if she had spit on me it would have been a whole different ballgame,” said Carlton, the Black man in the Mercedes. He is choosing not to use his last name. Carlton told ABC7, “It was more of a cough than spit.”
