*In a letter to the African Parks, the Duke of Sussex shared his concerns for his 1-year-old son Archie’s future amid the coronavirus crisis.

“Since becoming a father, I feel the pressure is even greater to ensure we can give our children the future they deserve, a future that hasn’t been taken from them, and a future full of possibility and opportunity,” Prince Harry said, per PEOPLE.  “I want us all to be able to tell our children that yes, we saw this coming, and with the determination and help from an extraordinary group of committed individuals, we did what was needed to restore these essential ecosystems.”

Harry also noted that the coronavirus is a “global pandemic that has shaken us to our core and brought the world to a standstill.”

In addition to being president of African Parks, Prince Harry is patron of the Rhino Conservation Botswana. In 2006, he co-founded the charity Sentebale with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, which supports people living with HIV/AIDS in Lesotho, Botswana and Malawi.

The prince and wife Meghan Markle welcomed their son in May 2019. Two months later, Harry opened up about being a positive influence for his baby boy.

“My son will always be watching what I do, mimicking my behavior, one day maybe even following in my footsteps,” he said in a July 2019 speech at the Diana Award National Youth Mentoring Summit in London.

In related news, Harry and Meghan have reportedly been speaking with community leaders and activists about how they can get more publicly involved in the Black Lives Matter movement.

“This scenario has weighed heavily on them both and is taking up a lot of their time and energy,” a source close to the couple told Vanity Fair correspondent and royal author, Katie Nicholl. “Expect to see a shift of their focus onto the campaign over the coming days and weeks.”

“The conversations they are having are private, but they plan to make public some of their ongoing discussions and the work they have been doing behind the scenes,” the source continued. “At the moment it’s a learning exercise so that they can work out how to help. They’re taking advice from lots of organizations. This is something they both care about and it’s something that really matters to them.”

Last week, Markle addressed the protests over the death of George Floyd in a video message for graduates of the Immaculate Heart School, her alma mater.
