*Iran has issued an arrest warrant for President Donald Trump for ordering the U.S. drone strike that killed a top Iranian general in Baghdad earlier this year.

Gen. Qassem Soleimani was a highly respected Iranian Revolutionary Guard commander who was killed in a drone strike in Iraq on January 3. His death came after the Trump White House accused him of masterminding attacks on American soldiers across the Middle East, per The Guardian

At the time, Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed vengeance after his top official was killed, Washington Examiner reported.

“With his departure and with God’s power, his work and path will not cease, and severe revenge awaits those criminals who have tainted their filthy hands with his blood and the blood of the other martyrs of last night’s incident,” said a statement released by Khamenei.

Thousands took to the streets of Baghdad chanting “Death to America” following Soleimani’s killing and many more attended his funeral procession in Ahvaz.

Iran’s state-run news agency IRNA reports the officials wanted in connection with Soleimani’s killing “have been charged with murder and terrorism acts.” It also adds, “At the top of the list is US President Donald Trump, and his prosecution will continue even after the end of his term.”

Of course, we all know Trump faces no real threat of arrest.

The US special envoy on Iran, Brian Hook, said the warrant is simply a propaganda stunt that “nobody takes seriously,” according to The Guardian report

NPR’s Peter Kenyon reports, “Iranian media quote Tehran’s prosecutor general as saying 36 people are being sought in connection with Soleimani’s killing.”

Meanwhile, over the weekend, Trump reminded his base that he’s still down with #whitepower movement amid the Black Lives Matter protests that have rocked the nation in the weeks since the police killing of George Floyd.

We previously reported, the president promoted a video Sunday that featured clashing protesters, one of whom proclaims, “White power.”

“Thank you to the great people of The Villages,” Trump captioned the clip on Twitter. “The Radical Left Do Nothing Democrats will Fall in the Fall. Corrupt Joe is shot. See you soon!!!”

After he was called out for being a racist prick, Trump deleted the post.

The White House clearly believes the president’s base is #stupidAF, as they said in a statement that Donnie “did not hear the one statement made on the video.”

If you believe that, I have an igloo in Egypt that I want to sell you.

“What he did see was tremendous enthusiasm from his many supporters,” the statement added.
