In the midst of a world pandemic, Drake has recorded and released new music…and a dance.
His track “Toosie Slide” slid out on Friday with a music video that doubles as a tour of the Canadian rapper’s Toronto mansion, an introduction of the TikTok ready dance and a shout out to Kobe Bryant.
The five-minute visual starts off with shots of Toronto’s busiest landmarks all barren due to social distancing mandates. Directer, editor and cinematographer Theo Skudra tracks Drake around his house (so much for social distancing) allowing viewers to get a peek at all his stuff – including a room with floor to ceiling displays of his music awards, a grand piano, an indoor swimming pool and a shot where Kobe’s #8 and #24 jerseys are prominently displayed.
