Clearing the Air: Wendy’s Says It Has Never Contributed to Trump’s Presidential Campaign

*Cancel culture has been in full effect after rumors swirled that Wendy’s was contributing to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

Back in May, it was reported that James Bodenstedt — the CEO of Muy Cos., a franchisee of Wendy’s, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut — had donated some $440,000 thousand to Trump’s campaign.

But in all fairness, franchisees operate independently yet #WendysIsOverParty still trended on Twitter on Tuesday.

Wendy’s however, denied giving and funds to Trump’s campaign.
