Wendy Williams Could Care Less About Criminal Record of New Guy Friend [VIDEO]

*Wendy Williams is allegedly dating a 27-year-old who served over two years in prison for robbery with a dangerous weapon.

According to court records obtained by TMZ, Wendy’s alleged new boo-thang, Marc Tomblin, pled guilty to conspiracy to commit robbery in Charlotte back in 2013. Police say he was part of a group of 3 criminals who robbed a man at gunpoint. He was sentenced to 15-30 months.

Williams is aware of Marc’s shady past. According to the outlet, when Wendy’s assistant tipped her off about the robbery, her reaction was, “I am a 54-year-old grown ass woman. I know what I’m doing.”

Adding, “Look, my husband had a full baby with a woman he was involved with for 15 years … where I was cooped up only to be a show pony. Now, I’m living my life.”

Paparazzi recently caught the pair at an ATM — fueling rumors that she is paying Marc to be her pretend boytoy. Wendy, aware that the cameras are always watching her amid her bitter divorce battle with ex-hubby Kevin Hunter, says she thought, “Oh my God, if cameras are there it will be, ‘there she is giving him money.'”

Wendy reportedly met Tomblin while she was partying with Blac Chyna in California over the weekend.

Meanwhile, Wendy’s son, Kevin Hunter Jr., 18, is “really happy to see his mom getting out there and playing the field,” a source close to Wendy tells HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY.

“He knows that she has been through so much this past year, and he’s proud of her for finally putting herself first,” the insider says, explaining, “Wendy has always put her family’s priorities before her own, but he thinks it’s healthy for her to focus on herself and her happiness right now.”

As previously reported, Kevin Jr. and his father had an explosive fight recently and the two are said to still be on the outs
