*Avenger Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.), who began the Avengers’ trek in 2008, says in “Avengers: Endgame,” “Part of the journey is the end.” And theatergoers will witness starting April 26th an epic ending to the Avengers’ journey that has captivated us over the last ten years.
Some might think the three hours and two minutes might be a long haul for a film, but the Marvel Cinematic Universe fans will cherish every second. Many, no doubt, will return to the theater to completely digest all the plot lines and nuances. All the while, they will never cease to be amazed and entertained by all the drama and action unfolding on the screen.
Although the ending of “Endgame” is not all hunky-dory, it is a far cry from “Avengers: Infinity War.” The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos (Josh Brolin) that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks in “Infinity War” compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films. The intense gravity of the matter at hand in “Endgame” does, though, lend itself to some light and comedic moments. However, bring some tissues.
Anthony and Joe Russo direct. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo, Trinh Tran, Jon Favreau, James Gunn and Stan Lee are the executive producers. Also starring in the Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Endgame” are Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Zoe Saldana, Tom Holland, Tessa Thompson, Chadwick Boseman, and Bradley Cooper as Rocket (voice).
