*Tiffany Haddish will introduce six of her favorite comedians on her new Netflix stand-up specials titled “Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready.”
Each episode is a half-hour and exec produced by Haddish, Wanda Sykes and Page Hurwitz. Comedians reportedly include Chaunté Wayans (50 Shades of Black), April Macie (Snoop Dogg’s Bad Girls of Comedy), Tracey Ashley (The Last O.G.), Aida Rodriguez (Last Comic Standing), Flame Monroe (Def Comedy Jam) and Marlo Williams (Comicview).
Haddish shares a history with each of them and wants to put them in the spotlight as she believes the industry often excludes women, people of color, and LGBTQ performers, per Deadline.

“In an industry that too often excludes women, people of color, and LGBTQ performers,” the press release from Netflix stated, “this diverse group of comedians, both in style and background, are ready for their time in the spotlight.”
The series is Haddish’s latest project for the streaming giant, as she already has her own comedy special and voices one of the characters in Netflix’s forthcoming series “Tuca & Bertie,” out May 3.
Haddish said, “I am introducing six of my favorite comedians – in my eyes, they are superstars. The epitome of They Ready.”
The “Girls Trip” star previously spoke about her own difficult journey as a stand-up comedian.
“You don’t have to wait for some man in the office or even a woman sitting up in the office at the top of the studio to say, “OK, you can do this,'” Haddish told Variety. “You can do it yourself.”
Meanwhile, fans will be able to see Tiffany Haddish in the new season of “The Last O.G.,” which returns for its second season on April 2.
