The Ladies Discuss Nick Cannon Swearing off Monogamy

Loni Love: I don’t believe Nick Cannon, though, I don’t think –

Tamera Mowry-Housley: You don’t?

Loni: No. A lot of people say that when they’re hurt…

Jeannie Mai: When they just came out of a long divorce.

Loni: Right, yeah, coming out of a long divorce and stuff. You know who used to say that too, y’all? Idris Elba. Idris Elba said, “I ain’t gettin’ married no more,” and blah, blah, blah, and look this summer – who he marry? My girl Sabrina!

Loni: All right?

Adrienne Houghton: My husband never said he couldn’t be monogamous, but my husband absolutely said he would never get married again.

Tamera: Didn’t George Clooney say that too?

Adrienne: Yeah!

Loni: Yes.

Jeannie: Anybody coming out of a divorce – it’s just the last thing you want to do, is like – buckle down, get into another long relationship, but the right person could change that.

Loni: Don’t we know that Jeannie?

Amanda Seales: But that’s why women be thinking, “But if I could just get in there, he gonna forget that he had to cover up a whole ‘M’ that was on his back!” You know what I’m saying, like…

Jeannie: And that’s why you can’t be that woman, you gotta be real with yourself.

Amanda: You just have to be honest.

Jeannie: But I will say for Nick, you have to go through non-monogamy if that’s something you want to try if that really is for you. You have to be real about it. And try it.
