*(ATLANTA, GA) — That’s right! The Plus Strut™, the first 5K for plus size women in North America, is back and it’s bigger, better and curvier than ever!
This historic event will return to Atlanta for their 2nd annual run/walk experience, which will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Chastain Park (216 W. Wieuca, Atlanta 30342 – located in the playground area at the corner of W. Wieuca and Dudley) from 7:30AM – 1:00PM. Jam-packed with new features, amazing sponsors and much more, The Plus Strut™ is ground zero for fun, fitness and friendly, full-figured engagement!
“I’m so thrilled to bring this exclusive wellness event back to the body-positive community for the second year in a row,” states The Plus Strut™ founder, Joy Tribble. “This is the event where women who identify and connect with the plus size community can feel confident about doing a fitness activity of this type in a safe, judgement-free environment. The goal here is to finish and we can’t wait to celebrate with them when they cross that finish line!”

Specifically, created to encourage and embrace a demographic of women that are seldom seen doing activities of this type, The Plus Strut™ continues to hold reign as the first in its class. Welcoming plus size women of all fitness levels, from beginner to pro, the event offers a diverse atmosphere, tremendous support and a continuous outpour of love that yields more than just exercise… Plus Strutters get an experience that will impact their lives forever!
Adding to this year’s impact are an impressive lineup of supportive sponsors who care about the organization’s mission. “We’re excited to announce the new Zone Naturals brand and their signature product, CHUB RUB® Formula, as our official 2019 title sponsor,” confirms Tribble. “Not only have they signed on to help enhance our experience, they will also have an exclusive unveiling of their brand new, friction-free product at this year’s Plus Strut and our attendees will be among the first to try it!”
Zone Naturals, developed by the professionals from PlusZone, is a 100% organic, paraben-free and cruelty-free line of friction prevention solutions that are specially developed through plus community-driven feedback. Their CHUB RUB® Formula – an all-natural formulation of PlusZone’s fan favorite ChafeZone for CHUB RUB® – is the line’s signature anti-chafe stick that will be unveiled at The Plus Strut™.
