*Oscar-nominated actress Taraji P. Henson will honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame later this month.
The “Empire” star will be joined at the ceremony by director John Singleton and singer Mary J. Blige.
“Taraji P Henson is a powerful woman and a powerful actress. She is an entertainer that fans cannot take their eyes off of due to her great acting ability,” said Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk Of Fame. “We welcome her bright star on our Walk Of Fame.”

The “Empire” actress made her screen debut back in 1997 with a cameo appearance on “Sister, Sister.” She earned an Oscar nomination in 2008 for her performance in “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.” She became a superstar thanks to her role as Cookie Lyon on the hit FOX dra,
“Even though people are just now finding me as Cookie, thank God for Netflix because people are so moved by my performance they’re like, ‘Where has she been?’” Henson told ESSENCE Magazine in the November 2015 cover story. “I’ve always said I want to do the type of work that people study.”
The Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony will take place January 28, days before the release of her next flick “What Men Want,” on February 9.
