*Peter Thomas of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” fame found himself in jail in Miami because of an out of state warrant that was served on him.
Thomas was taken into custody on Friday after getting off a plane at Miami International Airport, reports TMZ. The site says he was taken into custody on a warrant from Louisiana for allegedly writing fake checks, and he’s being held without bond.
You might remember Peter from the time he pulled a knife on Kenya Moore’s ex, Matt Jordan, during a brawl in the middle of a radio interview. At the time, he claimed self-defense.
Peter Thomas and Cynthia Bailey got married on season 3 of ‘RHOA’ — but they separated in 2016. Their divorce was finalized in 2017.
“I am definitely taking some time to myself to figure out how I want to move forward. I don’t want to rush into anything, so I think this time apart is good for us,” Bailey shared in a statement at the time.
By the way, Thomas shared a photo of himself traveling to Jamaica from Miami (see it below).
Thomas still appears on the show every once in a while, usually with his stepdaughter, Noelle Robinson.

In related news, “RHOA’s” Nene Leakes was the guest host of ‘The Real’ on Friday and she opened up on some things in her personal life. After her hubby, Gregg Leakes, was diagnosed with cancer, she says he became a different person — and the two are now in counseling because of it.
“Honestly, I’m just trying to tell other people who are going through this, and I got a lot of support people were saying I understand, he was very mean, you know, during that time, and I’m not sure if it was the medicine or what but he was very mean. I don’t think I handled it well, he was very mean. Yeah, it was very difficult, you know. It has put a strain on our relationship.”
