*“CBS This Morning” co-host Norah O’Donnell acknowledged the New York Post report that Gayle King is behind efforts to oust her from the news program, saying Friday the show will address the reports of a hosting shakeup on Monday’s episode.

“We are reading lots of things with great interest,” O’Donnell told viewers Friday morning. Her regular co-hosts, Gayle King and John Dickerson, were absent from the broadcast with Anthony Mason and Vladimir Duthiers filling in.

“I just want you to know we will address them on Monday, when Gayle is back here — and John as well,” she shared.

“Our show starts at 7 o’clock, and our Twitter handle is @CBSThisMorning,” O’Donnell added.

The Post’s Page Six published a story Thursday with the headline: “Gayle King pushes out Norah O’Donnell at ‘CBS This Morning.” The story said King “demanded O’Donnell be moved off the show as part of her recent contract negotiations.”

CBS News President Susan Zirinsky slammed this report, saying in a statement: “This headline is offensive and 100 percent false,” USA Today reports.

The new anchor lineup for “CBS This Morning” has been set and it doesn’t include O’Donnell, according to Variety. O’Donnell and co-anchor John Dickerson will soon exit while King will remain as chief anchor and be joined by colleagues Anthony Mason and Tony Dokoupil.

“Norah is toxic,” a CBS insider said, explaining that the anchor is difficult to work with and that there tension between the morning news co-hosts. But a person close to O’Donnell insists “There’s no bad blood between Norah and Gayle, in fact they are very close.”

Meanwhile, King has succeeded in her demands for her pay be bumped to more than double her current $5.5 million salary, sources said.
