*“Black Panther” star Michael B. Jordan is set to feature in a new movie about the oldest man in the Bible, Methuselah, who allegedly lived over 900 hundred years.

Deadline reports that Jordan is taking over the role for Tom Cruise, who was attached to the film back in 2016. Jordan will co-produce the project alongside “Harry Potter” producer David Heyman and Jeffrey Clifford. Tony Gilroy wrote the latest draft of the screenplay, per slashfilm.com.

Deadline describes the film as having “Highlander-like mythology and franchise potential,” and that Jordan will play “a man who has managed to survive for hundreds of years, without showing the physical signs of age. In that time, he has accumulated vast intellectual knowledge, from multiple languages to the sciences, as well as survival skills.”

According to the Bible, Methuselah lived to be 969 years old. Anthony Hopkins portrayed him in director Darren Aronofsky’s “Noah” pic, but Jordan’s project will be the first time the character will been played by a Black man.

Meanwhile, Jordan is reportedly securing the bag with the several projects he has in the works.

He’s set to led the cast in the Tom Clancy adaptation “Without Remorse.” He’s also producing a movie called “Black Leopard, Red Wolf” that’s been described as “the African Game of Thrones,” and he’s teaming with director Denzel Washington to star in “Journal for Jordan.”

Jordan will also produce a monster pic set in Detroit with director Jordan Vogt-Roberts.
