Recently I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Kev On Stage, real name Kevin Fredericks, an all around entertainer most notably known for being a comedian and actor, but his talents don’t stop there! He’s also a director, filmmaker, content creator, and influencer.
Kev basically does it all and you can catch a glimpse of that as he is currently touring through August on a tour called the “Real Comedians of Social Media Tour” along with Tahir Moore and Tony Baker Comedy.
They actually just finished a series of shows here in the Los Angeles area at a venue called The Comedy Union that’s been featured on MTV’s Wild N Out and VH1’s Basketball Wives.

I’ve worked in mainstream radio since my college days and I’ve met comedians before who have tried entirely too hard to be funny, like we get it, you tell jokes. Kev was not one of those comedians. I’m not sure if it was our down South roots that connected or what, but the conversation flowed effortlessly.
Kev was born in El Paso, Texas but his talents have brought him worldwide. Aside from being recognized by millions online, his tour stops even take him as far as overseas to London. I wonder if while growing up, he ever imagined that his talents would allow him to travel the world doing what he loves?
