*Kim Foxx, Chicago’s top prosecutor, has got more pressure coming her way over her handling of the Jussie Smollett case. Earlier today (04-28-19) she was subpoenaed to appear at a court hearing regarding her handling of the “attack.”
The subpoena was issued by a retired appellate judge (Sheila O’Brien) who is also seeking the appointment of a special prosecutor to look into how Foxx handled the controversial case, according to a Chicago Sun-Times report.
The Sun-Times article goes on to say that judge O’Brien, who not only filed the petition for a special prosecutor, but also filed a “notice to appear” in an attempt to get Smollett to attend Thursday’s court hearing.
Additionally, O’Brien ordered the actor and prosecutor to produce all original documents in the case to prove “that they have not been altered or destroyed.”
Foxx has been harshly criticized ever since her office dismissed all 16 counts against Smollett over the alleged “attack.”
As far as what Foxx is saying about the situation, she says she welcomes an independent investigation.

Meanwhile, Jussie Smollett’s name was on the lips of the orange a-hole in the White House Saturday night at his rally in Wisconsin. In that regard, reports TMZ, Kellyanne Conway is defending Trump’s decision to go in on Smollett’s acting skills … saying he is just following the lead of Kim Foxx, who earlier, as we reported, referred to Smollett as a”washed up celeb.”
Conway, a White House counselor, goes even further … alleging that a lot of powerful people in Ch-town are feeling Trump as far as not believing Smollett’s story about being attacked by white men wearing MAGA caps.
