*Chicago police released hundreds of investigative files in the Jussie Smollett case on Thursday, and the move follows a judge’s order to make information about the actor’s racially charged assault public.

As reported by NBC News, authorities uploaded the docs here, and includes “case reports, arrest files and supplementary files” from the investigation that was launched after Jussie claimed to have been the victim of a hate crime in Chicago on Jan. 29.

Investigators concluded that he staged the attack with the help of the Osundairo brothers. According to the newly released documents, police interviewed the brothers the day before Smollett went on GMA and they confessed he staged the attack.

Smollett maintained his innocence throughout the investigation but he was indicted in March by a grand jury on 16 felony counts after allegedly lying to police about being the victim of a hate crime.

Weeks later, Cook State’s Attorney Kim Foxx dropped the charges. In exchange, Smollett was required to do a few days of community service and forfeit his $10,000 bond payment.

Documents on the case were made public after a Freedom on Information request by CBS 2 and other media outlets.

The police are also expected to turn over hours of video footage next week, ABC 7 reports.
