Court documents state a man named Justin Michael Isaac was traveling to Virginia for a delivery in 2018, but he was recorded on the phone saying he was sending someone else.

Police staked out a Norfolk stash house and arrested Barba with nearly 2 pounds (0.9 kilograms) of fentanyl. She told police she’d arrived that day from Los Angeles.

The Jersey Shore native made it into the final 16 of the sixth season of “American Idol” in 2007. She also appeared on “Fear Factor” in 2012.

According to USA Today (via MSN.com), the sentence was handed down Thursday morning. Barba was also ordered to undergo five years of supervised release once her sentence ends.

Isaac and several other defendants were also were named in the same federal indictment as Barba.

Barba is due to serve 3 years, 9 months on paper, but she has a chance to serve a little under two years. She has about three months credit for time served, the report states.

“She doesn’t have a drug problem per se,” said Randall Leeman, one of Barba’s attorneys. “But the program is more of a therapeutic program. I think the court wanted her to enter that program and to complete it to get the counseling benefit of it.”

The judge also ordered Barba to undergo mental health treatment, as her family claims she suffered from bipolar disorder, anxiety disorder and narcissistic personality disorder.
