32nd Annual Long Beach Jazz Festival Line-up Announced

*Long Beach – The most highly anticipated jazz festival returns to the Rainbow Lagoon. The Long Beach Jazz Festival is Scheduled for Friday, August 9-Sunday, August 11, 2019.

For over three decades, Rainbow Promotions has presented a stellar line-up of world-class musicians. Thousands of music aficionados travel from all over Southern California, throughout the State of California, from out of state, as well as international fans.

The Festival takes place on the beautiful tree-line, grassy knoll of the Rainbow Lagoon, framed artistically by the downtown Long Beach skyline and the relaxing, vibrant Shoreline Village.

Rainbow Promotions pulled out all the stops to present this year’s outstanding line-up of musicians. This line-up offers something to please a variety of musical tastes. The problem is deciding which day to attend. (Editorial note) Attend all three days, PROBLEM SOLVED!

August 9- Friday’s Musical Fireworks

The opening night will feature Eric Benet, Sax to The Max: Michael Lington, Paul Taylor and Vincent Ingala and David P. Stevens

August 10-Sounds of Smooth Jazz and Latin Jazz

Day Two continues with Norman Brown with Angie Stone, Poncho Sanchez, The Jazz Classics featuring Patrice Rushen, Jazz in Pink featuring Gail Jhonson, Karen Briggs, and Marie Antoinette, Al Williams Jazz Society featuring Alexis Joy and Barbara Morrison: A Tribute to Nancy Wilson, and Willie Bradley

August 11-Groovin’ on a Sunday Afternoon

The final day of the festival continues with Brian Culbertson, Arturo Sandoval, The Rippingtons featuring Russ Freeman, Terence Blanchard, Special EFX All Stars featuring Chieli Minucci, Karen Briggs, Eric Marienthal, Gerald Veasley, Lao Tizer, Elliott Yamin and Joe Rosenblatt, and Darryl Williams with special guest Bryan Thompson.
