“This is Us” star Sterling K. Brown will join the cast of “The Rhythm Section,” which resumes production after it was shut down in late January following a hand injury suffered by star Blake Lively.

Jude Law is also in the film, which is being directed by Reed Morano (“The Handmaid’s Tale”), according to The Hollywood Reporter. The project is a contemporary adaptation of the first of Mark Burnell’s Stephanie Patrick novels, which follows a woman (Lively) who assumes three different identities as she seeks to uncover the truth behind a plane crash that killed her family — a flight that she was meant to be on.

Character details for Brown’s role are being kept under wraps.

Lively sustained her critical hand injury in December while shooting a stunt. She underwent a surgery that did not go as planned and required a second surgery, necessitating more recovery time.

Sources say she has made a full recovery, and production on the film is set to resume next month in Spain.

Paramount, which is handling worldwide distribution, is releasing the film on Feb. 22, 2019.

Brown, who plays Randall Pearson on NBC’s”This is Us,” has two movies in the can, including “Predator,” the Shane Black-directed reboot of the 1987 sci-fi action movie, and “Hotel Artemis,” Drew Pearce’s film about a safe house for criminals in need of medical attention, which is set to open June 8.
