*Al Roker’s bike was stolen on Tuesday, right outside of his job at the “Today” show.
The weatherman took to Twitter with his outrage, but quickly regretted sending the message.
“To the person who stole my red @iamspecialized #bike from in front of @SIRIUSXM I hope you really needed it,” Roker tweeted at about 3:40 p.m.
The Sirius XM offices are located directly across from Rockefeller Center, which houses NBC studios.
Folks must’ve responded in droves looking to track down and cause harm to the perpetrator(s), because Roker sent another tweet at around 4:30 p.m. telling his followers that it was probably best to “move on.”
“Thanks, but no bad thoughts about the person who stole my bike. I was venting. A lot of people are going thru far worse things,” he wrote.
“Let’s all move on. Sorry I bothered anyone with this. It’s why you should walk away for a few Before hitting ‘send.’”
His fans, however, were very supportive about both the bike and Roker’s reaction, according to Page Six.
“You expressed frustration,” Marisa Anders tweeted to Roker. “Very understandable (and allowed).”
Police sources said that Roker did not file a report with the NYPD.
