*Kelly Rowland has hit back at claims that she is bleaching her skin and she attempted to dispel the chatter and speculation in a video, which some believe actually proves the singer’s skin is noticeably lighter.
Fans of the Destiny’s Child icon were left with more questions than answers after viewing a video she posted on Instagram Live on Wednesday in which Kelly responds to skin bleaching rumors by denying she’s bleaching.
As noted by SandraRose, Rowland “appears very light in the video clip. At one point she even blamed her bright skin tone on a ray of sunlight shining through the window of an Uber car she is riding in.”

“I never answer questions like this because I think it’s so stupid,” she said in the video. “I am not the one to bleach my skin, and nor do I want to bleach my skin, nor do I have to bleach my skin,” she laughed.
Continuing, Rowland added: “Have you ever thought that it could be the lighting, like this light — like this streak bleaching like crazy right here,” she said pointing at a ray of sunlight that washed out part of her face.
She concluded: “Im still chocolate, forever chocolate and proud to be chocolate. Shout out to my chocolate girls!”
But her fans were not convinced.
