*The man who attempted to extort Kevin Hart over an alleged sex tape was arrested on April 30 and charged with two felony counts of extortion.

Jonathan Todd Jackson, 41, who is known publicly as “JT” and “Action Jackson,” is being held on $100,000 bail, according to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office. He was charged with one count each of attempted extortion and extortion by threatening letter.

“Jackson is accused of trying to extort an undisclosed amount of money from Hart between Aug. 25 and Aug. 30, 2017,” a press release from the DA’s office read.

“Jackson allegedly had a videotape of the actor with a woman in Las Vegas and then is accused of trying to sell the recording to numerous celebrity news websites,” prosecutors said.

Page Six reports that Hart is incredibly upset about the situation because Jackson was a close member of his entourage, per The Blast. Jackson is a fellow actor and he was in “Think Like A Man Too” with Hart.

“Mind blown…Hurt…at a lost for words and simply in complete disbelief at the moment. WOW,” Kevin cryptically tweeted Wednesday.

If convicted, Jackson could face up to four years in county jail.

Hart was dogged by media reports last year that he had cheated on his wife.

In September, the comedian released a video on his Instagram account saying he had made a “bad error in judgment” and would not “allow a person to have financial gain off of my mistakes.”
