*Auntie Fee, the foul-mouthed viral video cooking sensation, died on Friday, March 17, at age 59, following a massive heart attack at Harbor-ULCA Medical Center. Her son, Tavis Hunter, confirmed her passing in an announcement on Facebook.
“Thank you for all the prayers and hope,“ he wrote. “It did all it can do and now god made the decision to take my mother home where its peace & Joy and im okay with that, She can finally Be happy.“

Blogger Sandra Rose points out that in one of her videos, Auntie Fee showed signs and symptoms of heart disease. The photo above shows her jugular vein distention, caused by right side heart failure.

Jugular vein distention (JVD) is one of the signs of heart disease or heart failure. Jugular vein distention usually presents as a rope like bulge on the side of the neck (see photo above). The jugular vein is distended because of increased venous pressure in the large veins going to the right side of the heart.
In the same video, Fee is breathing with difficulty and at one point she says “Ooh, lawd, I’m out of breath.”
Auntie Fee, whose full name is Felicia O’Dell, went viral in 2014 after posting her recipes for “good ass chicken“ and “sweet treats for the kids“ on You Tube. Her most viewed video (with more than 2 million hits) is about feeding a family of seven for just $3.35. Fee’s instafame led to appearances on TV with Jimmy Kimmel and Steve Harvey.
