*Super Big Ups to Tyler Perry. Once again the entertainment mogul showed that his heart is in the right place by providing some much need relief for a Georgia mother whose twin infant daughters died last week because their father left them in a hot car.
After watching a report about the children’s death on Channel 2 Action News that reporter Dave Huddleston did with their mother, Breal Ellis , Perry called the newsroom and said he would pay for the funeral.
Ellis’ daughters, 15-month-old Ariel Roxanne North and Alaynah Maryanne North, were found dead in a hot car Thursday. The father, Asa North, 24, was arrested and faces two involuntary manslaughter and reckless conduct charges, according to AJC.com.
Ellis, who was checking on another family member who was injured in a car crash at the time of the girls’ death, told Channel 2 she didn’t know how she was going to pay for the twins’ funeral. Sadly, she lost another child a few years ago.
This isn’t the first time Perry has done a good deed for someone less fortunate than him. It was just a couple of years ago, in 2014, that the filmmaker stepped in to help Xernna Nieves, a single, unemployed mother of four who was facing an eviction. She found the notice on her front door after returning home from an event with her son Joshua Williams, who suffers from severe aplastic anemia and endured two bone marrow transplants.
“I have no place to go. I really have no place to go,” she told with Atlanta’s Channel 2 news, and fortunately for her Perry was watching the newscast. In response, he reached out and offered to pay her rent for one year.
