*Can we trust that ANY law enforcement officials are even law-abiding themselves?
This question resurfaces for many as Retired L.A. County Sheriff, Lee Baca, admitted on Wednesday that he lied — twice — about his involvement in hiding a jail inmate from FBI investigators. You may recall this is about a case that led to an investigation of the entire dept.
Good lawd!
Why it should hit me so hard to learn that someone like Baca, in the highest law enforcement position, would straight out tell a bold-faced lie just goes to show that even I, a seasoned woman with trust issues, can still be fooled.
