*Leslie Jones caused a ruckus on social media last month after commenting on the lack of designers offering to dress her for the “Ghostbusters” premiere.
“It’s so funny how there are no designers wanting to help me with a premiere dress,” she tweeted on June 28. “Hmmm that will change and I remember everything.”
The tweet was met with mixed reactions and reignited public debate about high fashion’s body standards, but Christian Siriano of “Project Runway” fame was the first designer to offer his services to the “Saturday Night Live” star, responding to the tweet via the hand waving emoji.

Cut to Saturday’s “Ghostbusters” premiere. Jones showed up and slayed in a red Christian Siriano gown.
“It takes a real designer to design for real women,” Jones told E! News’ at the premiere. “That’s what I was saying. I’ll always say that.”
Siriano praised the actress on Instagram, writing, “Now that’s how you do it! You look stunning Leslie! Simple, elegant, powerful and chic!!”
