We think we can safely say John Legend is not a fan of Donald Trump and Donald Trump Jr.
The singer and TV producer and Donald Jr got into a Twitter back-and-forth on Friday.
And it all started when Legend, 37, replied to Trump Jr.’s tweet about Friday’s cancelled Trump rally in Chicago, according to People.
“Ha 5 students when asked why they were protesting couldn’t even answer. The participation medal/micro aggression generation is pretty sad!” Trump Jr., 38, wrote to which Legend fired back:
“@DonaldJTrumpJr I think they were protesting your racist father. This isn’t complicated.”

And of course Legend’s wife Chrissy Teigen got in on the action by retweeting and replying to her husband’s tweets writing, “@johnlegend got em.”
Trump Jr’s response was:
“Here we go again. That can’t be the answer for everything you don’t like. That’s why the country is so divided now!”
Meanwhile, Legend got into it with “Trump trolls.” One of them tried to discredit the Oscar and Grammy winner’s higher education, who came back with this gem:
“The Donalds and I graduated from the same University, funny enough,” the father-to-be said.
People notes that Trump attended Fordham University for two years before entering the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. The GOP presidential candidate graduated in 1968 with a bachelor’s degree in economics. Legend graduated from UPenn with a degree in English with an emphasis on African-American literature in 1999.
