“The time has finally come, where hip hop music & culture history’ will have a permanent home, to build a foundation for history, education, knowledge, innovation, and creativity for future generations to understand its origins, the elements, and the struggle for socio-economic empowerment opportunities for young people and families in America, and around the World,”

stated JT Thompson, Founder of the Hip Hop Hall of Fame Museum, and Creator of the Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards TV Show that first broadcast on BET Cable Networks in the early 1990s.

The HHHOF Museum is a Chartered non-profit 501 (c) 3 Museum and Educational Institution whose mission is to Preserve, Archive, Exhibit, Educate, and Showcase Hip Hop Music & Culture from around the world. In keeping with our global mission the funds raised will assist in the continued museum concept development, and site acquisition.

It will also contribute to the architectural design, museum exhibit designs, collection management, community outreach & youth educational programming, the Hip Hop Arts & Media Academy Program, a digital hip hop history museum, annual events, and the museum’s general operations and staffing for long-term sustainability.

The private support, contributions, and gifts we receive invest in attracting and retaining the best minds and partners to ensure the HHHOF Museum has the power to open to the general public worldwide with the permanence to endure.

The HHHOF Museum has also initialized its early campaign by reaching out to potential partners, sponsors, major legacy contributors, and challenge grants that shall continue through 2017-18.

“The level of excellence and historical significance that will be expressed in the Hip Hop Hall of Fame + Museum & Hotel Entertainment Complex site can be achieved only with a significant infusion of philanthropic capital, fan and supporter based memberships, entertainment industry and executive support, artists and celebrity pledges and proclamations, and with natural sponsorships and naming rights opportunities,” stated JT Thompson.
