*After interviewing Hillary Clinton, Kanye West, Jay Z, and a slew of A-list talent, “The Breakfast Club” co-host Charlamagne tha God is writing a book called “Black Privilege: Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create It.” The book is scheduled for next spring via the Simon & Schuster imprint Touchstone.
“Personally, I think Hillary is more than qualified to be President of the United States of America,” Charlamagne told NBCBLK. “Plus, I like what she represents as a symbol. She’s a woman. I have two daughters. I feel like that’s empowering for women the same way watching Barack Obama was empowering for black people.”
With “brutally honest insights,” he plans to recount his rise from a dirt road in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, to national fame through radio and MTV.
Charlamagne said in a statement that as an English teacher’s son, he had always loved books, and penning one himself was a “dream fulfilled.”
