*Last week, Breakfast Club radio personality Charlamagne Tha God received tons of backlash for meeting and having dinner with conservative internet host Tomi Lahren who compares the Black Lives Matter Movement to the Ku Klux Klan and was called out by HOT 97’s Ebro Darden, who claims Charlamagne wants to be accepted by the mainstream.
“And while I think you’re great at what you do,the problem I have today is that you’re trying too hard to be accepted by mainstream white America, Darden said.
EUR associate Jay Styles, had a chance to speak with Charlamagne this past Saturday(12-10-16), as he hosted the Remy Martin West Coast Finale “Producers Series” and we asked him about his thoughts on Ebro’s comments.
“I don’t even know who that is you’re talking about[Ebro], but when you’re talking about getting approval from white America, I’ve been on Stephen Colbert three times this year, I’ve been on Dr. Oz a few times this year, I did the Bill Simmons show, I’ve been on the Daily Show with Trevor Noah, the Breakfast Club we’re syndicated in 70+ markets throughout the country; I don’t know whose approval I’m getting, but I’m getting somebody’s, said Charlamagne. And we’re going to continue to grow and continue to evolve because of it. If you ask me, I think I’m getting God’s approval; God is opening up a lot of doors for me.

Charlamagne also told us that he’s open to do more dialogue with Tomi if he feels that’s it’s something that needs to be defended.
“Yeah I’ll go on her show, but just to go on, to go on, nah”
