African-American Festival at Aquarium of the Pacific

*Long Beach – Black History Month is an annual celebration of the magnificent achievements by African Americans in the United States History.

The event grew out of “Negro History Week,” the brainchild of noted historian Carter G. Woodson.  Since 1976, every U.S. President has officially designated the month of February as Black History Month, African American Heritage Month. (Source History.com).
