*Born and raised in Miami, Teenear found music at the tender age of three. Music filled the walls of Teenear’s family home, cultivating her passion for the art. She began showcasing her talent while singing in her local church’s praise team. Honing her singing skills, the budding songstress continued sharing her talent in pageants and local talent shows.

Her first notable performance was at a local talent show where she sang Rihanna’s ballad “Stay” and captivated her audience.

“Being on that stage and singing gave me such a push and drive and I loved it so much,” says Teenear. “I remember when I went back stage after the performance and people came up to me telling me they enjoyed the performance and asking for my picture. It was a great moment and it gave me so much confidence to push further.”

Teenear created a buzz for herself when she uploaded a cover of “Stay” on her Youtube channel on New Year’s Eve 2013. The young star received incredible feedback on thevideo, encouraging her to continue sharing covers of today’s pop hits. She shares covers of such artists that include songs like “Clown” (Emelie Sande) and an acoustic version of Katy Perry’s “The One That Got Away.”

Signed to Miami’s key influencer in the music industry—Slip N’ Slide Records—the star is diligently working on elevating her craft. With support from fellow label associates, Trina and Sebastian Mikael, Teenear is destined to share her voice with the world. Amazingly at the age of 18, the Miami native’s powerful vocals possess an unmistakable reverence for the iconic songstresses who have previously laid the groundwork in pop and soul music. Her voice is undeniably a sound for sore ears.

The 18-year-old recent American Heritage High graduate took center court to sing the national anthem at a Miami Heat vs. Milwaukee Bucks game earlier this year. Once on stage, the young star blew the roof off the arena with her soulful performance. Capturing the hearts of South Florida at the American Airlines Arena,Teenear’s confidence as an artist definitely skyrocketed. Performing in front of her biggest crowd yet, Teenear has definitely made her biggest accomplishment in her career thus far.

Crediting music icons like Beyonce and Michael Jackson, Teenear has created her own soulful pop sound. She hopes to make her own path in the music industry looking to both superstars as guiding examples.

For the daughter of a Jamaican mother and American father, God, family and music means everything and with that foundation she strives to put God first in everything she does starting with her music. The 18-year-old hopes to be a positive role model to young women worldwide as she stays true to herself and her faith. Her motto? P.U.S.H.—Pray Until Something Happens.

Teenear’s sound embodies real, down to earth, feel good music. The upcoming R&B songstress debuted her single “Friday Night” featuring popular hip-hop heartthrob Sage the Gemini at The Court of Dreams celebrity basketball game at the American Airlines Arena earlier this year where she rubbed elbows with some of today’s great R&B artists. In addition to features from some of today’s biggest artists like Sage the Gemini, she also has projects coming with Grammy winning producer Jim Jonsin and others. Teenear is on her way to R&B stardom and is positioned to have one of the hottest summer songs out of Miami.
