*The red carpet at a kids event is not the place to discuss restraining orders and domestic violence allegations against your girlfriend – especially if your kids are in tow.
Orlando Scandrick was on the “orange” carpet last night with his twin girls for the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Sports Awards when HipHollywood caught up with the player. Instead of asking directly about his on-again off-again girlfriend, Draya Michele, the outlet asked how he prepares for a big football season while dealing with negative media attention.
The Dallas Cowboys player responded: “I just try to work everyday and just take one day at a time. You can’t believe everything you read. You can’t believe everything you hear.”

The pair have been on and off for the past two years, but the duo recently made headlines after he broke off their short-lived engagement just weeks after proposing.
Orlando later revealed to TMZ that the proposal was a “poor decision.” The NFL player later apologized for the comment, but then shocked fans when he filed a restraining order against the “Basketball Wives: LA” star. The 28-year-old reportedly filed the docs on July 7th asking that Draya be no where near him, which means she will have to move out of his house.
