*”Empire” superstar Jussie Smollett covered Urban Lux magazine’s spring 2015 men’s issue. He opened up about his new found fame.
Although Taraji P. Henson stole the show as Cookie Lyon, but Smollett is the breakout star of the series as openly gay musician Jamal. The series garnered record-breaking viewership with 21.2 million during its season finale.
Although he plays a R&B star on the show and he’s not releasing a debut album anytime soon, he inked a deal with Columbia Records.
Gracing his first magazine cover, in the cover story, according to YBF, he opened up about his tight-knit family (remember, “On Our Own“) and his plans for the future. The interview and spread will be released on Thursday, April 2.
