Grammy-winning songstress Estelle hit the stage to perform “Silly Girls” on “The Real” earlier this week to celebrate the release of her fourth studio album True Romance (Established 1980 Inc./BMG). To continue with the promotion, she appeared on Wednesday’s episode of the hit FOX show “Empire”, as Delphine, who befriends Jamal after being inspired at his coming out.
She enters the Empire Entertainment fold to record a few songs, including this special version of “Conqueror,” her own hit single which gets special duet treatment when she performs the song on the show with Jamal (played by Jussie Smollett). The version from Wednesday’s episode will appear on the original soundtrack from season one of “Empire” to be released on March 10th.
The original version of “Conqueror” (click here to watch the video) is the lead single from Estelle’s new album, True Romance, out now on Established 1980, Inc./BMG. True Romance is anchored by 4 themes – passion, courage, true romance and the bulls**t. The album has garnered praise from the likes of New York Times, Rolling Stone, People, Elle, InStyle, NY Daily News and more. Click here to purchase True Romance on iTunes.
