*Actor Terence Davis is finding new dimensions in his craft through his current role in Tyler Perry’s ‘Divorced Sistas’—and audiences are taking notice. As Myron, the quirky, good-hearted ex whose presence lingers in the lives of his former partners, Davis brings a subtle emotional truth that balances the show’s comedy and drama.
“This character is funny, awkward, a little quirky—but he’s also deeply layered,” Davis says. “Myron is not the guy you expect, but he’s the guy you remember. He’s got heart, but he doesn’t always know what to do with it.”

‘Divorced Sistas’—produced by Tyler Perry Studios and streaming on BET+—follows a tight-knit group of women navigating life, love, and freedom after the end of their marriages. Set in Atlanta, the show mixes humor, romance, and unfiltered emotional honesty, exploring how friendships and exes collide in the aftermath of divorce.
In the ensemble cast, Davis’ portrayal of Myron provides both comic relief and introspective weight. His scenes are often unexpected emotional pivots—one minute drawing laughs, the next delivering gut-level truth.
“There are moments where I had to pause and say, ‘Wow, I really get this guy,’” he explains. “He’s navigating life in real time, without a manual. He’s figuring it out—and he’s not always doing it gracefully, but he’s trying. And I think people will see themselves in that.”
Raised by older parents, Davis credits his upbringing with grounding him in emotional realism. “I’ve always had this deep respect for life’s quiet lessons,” he says. “And those moments come through in Myron—how he talks, how he listens, how he sometimes stumbles over his own feelings.”

Though best known for intense roles—like his recent turns in ‘Griselda’ and ‘Winning Time’—Davis welcomes the shift into something more playful and unpredictable.
“Everyone thinks of me in heavier dramas. But ‘Divorced Sistas’ lets me play—and not just play for laughs, but play in the full sense of the word.”
Still, his method remains focused. “I do the research. I ask the questions. And when it’s time to step on set, I’ve made sure I know who Myron is—not just on the page, but in the world,” Davis says.
Working on a Tyler Perry production, Davis adds, is a creative challenge he embraces. “It’s rigorous—we shot 16 episodes in just over a week—but it’s a masterclass. Mr. Perry knows exactly what he wants. And he creates an environment where everybody’s locked in. We’re moving fast, but we’re telling real stories.”

Davis also touched on the spiritual side of his process. “Acting is more than performance—it’s a puzzle. You get the words on the page, but you have to break it down and make it your own,” he says. “I reset myself after every role. I never want remnants of a previous character in a new one. That’s not fair to the audience—or to myself.”
As ‘Divorced Sistas’ continues its run, Davis hopes Myron’s journey resonates with viewers.
“I want people to say, ‘That guy? I know that guy. I’ve been that guy.’ And maybe, just maybe, they’ll see a bit of themselves in Myron.”
