*A disturbing incident unfolded at NBA YoungBoy’s sold-out “MASA” Tour stop at Kansas City’s T-Mobile Center on Sunday, where a juvenile fan violently attacked an elderly guest services employee.
Video footage circulating on X shows the young assailant slamming the worker into the seats and repeatedly striking his face, dislodging the victim’s glasses in the process. The brutal assault left the employee with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to police reports.
The Kansas City Police Department responded to a disturbance call around 9:30 p.m. at the venue. A representative for the KCPD told TMZ Hip Hop, “A juvenile male was detained and subsequently released to his guardian pending further investigation.” Authorities are collaborating with prosecutors to determine potential charges, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Shani Ross, VP Sales and Marketing for the T-Mobile Center, condemned the attack in a statement to KCTV5: “We are aware of an incident at last night’s NBA YoungBoy concert in which multiple T-Mobile Center team members were assaulted by a fan. The incident was captured on video and has been provided to local law enforcement. Our immediate concern is the well-being of our staff who sustained serious injuries. After receiving prompt attention from on-site First Aid personnel, they were later treated at a local hospital.” She emphasized that such violence is unacceptable and does not reflect the typical atmosphere at the venue.
Ross reassured the public, stating, “The safety of our employees and guests remains our top priority. Safety protocols are reviewed for every event, and we are fully cooperating with law enforcement regarding this matter. This isolated incident does not reflect our venue, our city, or the thousands of guests of all ages who enjoyed the show without incident. Violence of any kind is unacceptable at T-Mobile Center, and we remain committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all.”
While the juvenile was detained, it remains unclear if formal charges will be filed.
The incident undermines NBA YoungBoy’s “Stop The Violence” initiatives, fueling further controversy. Additionally, his scheduled Chicago concert on September 24 was canceled due to ongoing tensions between his team and Lil Durk’s camp.
