*With a line of excited partygoers stretched down Sunset Blvd eager to get into the exclusive event, “The Jason Lee Show” premiere party was indeed a star-studded gathering that no one wanted to miss.
EUR had a chance to chat with some very familiar faces before they entered the party. The red carpet was filled with exciting arrivals from celebrities like Remy Ma, Joseph Sikora, Tiffany Haddish, Jhonni Blaze, Darius McCray, Kris Lofton, and of course the man of the moment himself, Jason Lee.
The event, sponsored by brands like Deleon Tequila, was held to celebrate the launch of “The Jason Lee Show” partnered with RevoltTV and Hollywood Unlocked. The show premiered on January 9th, with the first guest being Cardi B. Jason candidly discussed with us how he was rejected by daytime talk show producers, which prompted him to prepare for the creation of his own show.
Jason stated, “I get to say I have a talk show, that feels great. I’m self-made and you can’t control me…I also want to show people who are like me, that you can do it too, if you work hard.”

After being asked, since he is considered a culture critic, can we expect to see him tackle heavy cultural and social issues on his show and he responded, “Real is rare and is missing these days, and if I can contribute to the world and culture I want to be able to do that. I have to give Charlamange Tha God his props, because he actually called me a culture critic, and I then I trademarked it.”
Jason also shared with us exclusively that this week he will also be co-hosting “The Breakfast Club.”
Jason was open about his legacy, and shared that he has recently been thinking about children, saying, “I want my legacy to be three things; education, empowerment, and entertainment.”
A guest on the red carpet raved about Jason’s generosity and shared that Jason provided his sister with a scholarship to go to school.
“It’s an honor and privilege to be here. Jason Lee has done a lot for the community outside of all of the gossip and all of the tea. He gave my younger sister a scholarship towards her education, so I’m a big supporter of anything that he does.” Jason’s response to this compliment was, “oh wow, that was probably at a place where I was getting an award. I watched six kids get scholarships from some other people, and I didn’t feel like it was going to be enough. I had the money so I gave it.”
Celebrating Jason’s achievement of launching his very own talk show inspired the red-carpet guests to reflect on their own career paths and journey. Jhonni Blaze shared with us, that she is looking forward to moving her career forward and currently working on new music, and releasing her single featuring Neyo titled, Don’t Fall Out of Love, set to release at the end of the month.

“I’m nervous talking about it, but I’m super excited…I have a lot of things that are going on. I’m going into acting a lot more, instead of reality TV” Jhonni also talked about why it was important for her to support Jason.
“Plain and simple, he supported me, he made sure if I needed an interview or I needed something he was always there…plus I just love him he is the sweetest.”
Joesph Sikora congratulated Jason Lee on reaching a milestone in his career. “Jason Lee is an incredible person for the culture, an incredibly creative person, and incredibly inclusive.”
Joseph also reminisced about the pivotal moment and turning point in his career when he was first cast on the hit show Power. “I met the best boss of my life Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, and this incredible icon gave me a hug and said, thank you for being here…it made me feel special and it empowered me to do my best.”
A few steps away inside the actual premiere party, well over 1,000 people partied and celebrated with Jason Lee, Remy Ma, Tiffany Haddish, and other celebrities.
